Another Finish

The bed quilt is finished.  I threaded the last loose thread through this morning, put it on the bed and the world didn't end! lol  It's not to my taste, as I made it to Lee's exact specifications but it will help keep me warm.  I will just have to make another one to go on top and cover it up.  I'm going to give my bedroom a revamp, so a new quilt will be part of it.  I'm thinking something gothic.

The phrase in the Pete Murray song is "your fly" not your flower. lol Looks like there are going to be some flies on the hexi quilt now.

  1. It's a gorgeous quilt, but a bedroom revamp sounds like the perfect idea - a new direction for you in more ways than one!

  3. Great looking quilt - if you like "green" - which it sounds like you don't - ;)) You could always use it as the "back" of another quilt - that way it would be put to good use but you wouldn't see it - and the "top" could be something that you actually like - ;))

  4. It's beautiful. :)
I am sorry it brings sad memories for you, though.

I hope you will have an excellent time redecorating. (hugs)

  6. I just realized something Sue - you had a very special birthday last month - happy belated birthday! I hope things are going well for you, and that you're crafting, and getting on with and enjoying life :) I'm looking forward to seeing you come back to posting, though - say hi to Lestat :D

  7. That's a lovely quilt, even though it has sad memories, and a new "topper" would just make it warmer. Alternatively, when it has finished it's job for Winter you could sell it and use the payment to buy some nice goth style fabrics, thereby using it as a stepping stone to something you want.
    Cheers, Rob
